Moonstone

Moonstone is one of my favorite stones. The iridescence is what I love about it. But did you know about a beautiful beach called Moonstone Beach in Cambria California off the Pacific Coast?

This is a cute Beach. I wouldn’t say it is a sit out all day Beach but you can. This Beach is known amongst its locals as a Moonstone haven.

The Moonstone that you pick is actually called chalcedony. But it looks almost like raw Moonstone so hence the name Moonstone Beach.

You can actually make jewelry from these little finds. I have made plenty pendants. Word to the wise, be careful while picking and look out for sneaker waves. I’ve had a first class experience and it almost took me and my husband out into the ocean!
