Coke Bottle Ghana Glass Bead Hand Tied Necklace

Handmade African Coke Bottle 17 1/2 Ghana bead necklace made with authentic Ghana recycled glass, crystal beads and Egyptian brass beads.

These glass beads are made by skilled craftsman in Africa and made from recycled glass.  These craftsmen break the recycled glass down to a powder by hand not machine.  After that process the powder is mixed and poured into round molds and cooked in an extremely hot brick oven outside.  After the beads are cooled by natural air they are sorted out to be sold.

Because these beads are handmade, each bead is a little rustic with imperfections giving them a earthly look.  This is an ancient way of making these trade beads, that is still practiced to this day.
